An estimate. For a contract of mandate (zlecenie) we leave out voluntary sickness insurance; for an employment contract we apply the 250 zł cost allowance and the 300 zł monthly tax credit, which applies once you hand the employer a PIT-2 form (a request to apply the credit every month). The final figure is calculated by the employer's payroll.

What nobody has the right to demand from you
Eight things candidates ask about most often, because somebody already tried. You will meet none of them here, and knowing these rules protects you whoever you end up working with.
A fee for finding workAn employment agency may not take a single zloty from you for placement, recruitment or “reserving a spot”. If someone wants 400 zł for a referral to a warehouse, that is not an agency but a scam.See in our guide what an agency may not charge for.
Deductions for work clothingSafety footwear, gloves and work clothes are provided by the employer at their own cost. Deducting them from your pay breaches health and safety rules.
Deductions for “free” accommodationIf the advert said accommodation was free and 450 zł disappears from your pay, that deduction has no basis. Beyond taxes and contributions, deductions need your written consent.
A penalty for leavingUnder an employment contract there are no penalties for terminating it. Under a civil-law contract a penalty must be written into the contract you signed — it is never conjured up afterwards.
Working on someone else's papersAn invitation or permit bought from an intermediary refers to a different company and is no use for work with us. Such work is illegal, and the worker bears consequences too.
A promised date for the residence cardNobody will guarantee you a card in three months: the decision belongs to the voivode. Whoever promises a date is selling something they do not have.What we promise is a complete file and a close eye on the dates.
Handing over your documentsYour passport and card stay with you. A scan or a phone photo is enough for the application.
Agreeing blindBefore you say yes you know the rate, the address, the shift and the type of contract. No “we will explain when you get there”.
The questions we hear most often
How much does it cost to find work through an agency?
Nothing for the candidate. An employment agency may not charge the person it is finding work for — the employer bears the cost. If anyone in this trade asks you for money simply to find you a job, treat it as a warning sign.
I do not speak Polish. Can I work?
In a laundry, in cleaning and in many warehouse roles basic communication is enough. Tell us plainly how your Polish is and we will find a place where it will not get in the way. With us you speak Ukrainian or English.
I am waiting for a residence card. May I work already?
It depends on the basis you hold today: a declaration, a work permit, or an exemption. Filing a residence application does not itself give the right to work. We check this before any referral so there is no day of work without a legal basis.
When is the first payment?
The dates are set by the employer you sign with, and we tell you them before the start, together with the rate and the hours. We do not promise dates we do not control.
Do you help with transport or housing?
Some employers arrange transport and sometimes accommodation, others do not. We say which before you decide.
How often is a contract of mandate (zlecenie) paid?
If the contract lasts longer than a month, pay at least at the minimum hourly rate is paid at least once a month, in money (article 8a of the Minimum Wage Act). How often a given workplace pays is stated in the job offer.
A student under 26 on a zlecenie: is the whole rate paid out?
Usually yes. A pupil or student under 26 on a zlecenie is not covered by pension and disability insurance (art. 6(4) of the Social Insurance System Act), so no health contribution is due either, and the youth relief exempts income up to 85,528 zł a year from PIT (art. 21(1)(148) of the PIT Act). The gross rate is then what you take home. The employer will ask for a valid student card.
